Inuit sculptor and long-time collaborator, Simiuni Nauya invited Aurélie to collaborate on the creation of a new piece with the artists of Atelier Tlachiuak, a space open to Indigenous people who have faced or are currently facing substance use issues and homelessness.
We are developing Memory Map, a multidisciplinary immersive work that blends traditional Indigenous arts and digital arts, breaking down social barriers in favour of interdependence and social cohesion.
According to Chato René Rivas, the aim of this artistic project is to “contribute to healing, nurture the community and change the way people perceive us.”
Our work will focus on memories, the gestures that build, the strength of the community and relationships, which are the essential threads in the human fabric we create.
