ANTICHAMBRE is without borders, dissolving space and time. Released from habitual modes of seeing and listening, the spectator dives into a space that circumvents impressions and static readings of reality. The immersive and sensitive experience dampens the boundaries between our bodies and the work, between inside and outside.
I like to speak of this piece as a revealer, shedding light on the processes within you, I and every one of us.
Press extract
« Beyond reflecting on the predominance of vision and the ready-made spectacle in our cultures today, Antichambre stands out by giving importance to touch, a rarely solicited sense in dance, as well as the care given to the other. (…) Filled with finesse and poetry, this work centered on deep listening and relationships raises the question of the spectator’s responsibility. » Nayla Naoufal pour Le Devoir, 24 sept 2019
« The return to the world after a moment within oneself is as moving as seeing one by one, the other participants returning from their long journey. » Philippe Depeltreau pour DFDanse, le 29 sept 2019
