Born from an encounter with youth either marginalized or self-identifying as marginalized, INDEEP questions our gaze on the social body when we are freed of stable codes and references.
Accompanied by a musician, ten blindfolded individuals dive into the absence of sight for ten hours, offering a fascinating and transformative performance. The work oscillates between construction and deconstruction, and invites the spectators to witness the performers’ singularity – the explosive power of their existence.
Depriving these youths of visual self-consciousness, Aurélie Pedron transports us into a contemplative experience, anchored in reality, bringing us closer to our own humanity.
