In 2024, at the invitation of longtime collaborator Simiuni Nauya, Aurélie opened spaces for creation and craftsmanship for First Nations and Inuit artists living in Montréal in situations of vulnerability.
A space for self-creation through art, a space of mutual respect, peace, and sharing; this project nourishes the participants as much as Aurélie herself — it creates shifts in reference points and opens fields of possibility.
The works and words gathered during the workshops will feed into the MEMORIES MAP creation project (born out of this process), and will give rise to a group exhibition in spring 2027.
